Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
OneTake ("we", "us") builds a desktop recording tool for OBS creators. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the product.
What we collect
- Account data. When you create an account we store your email address and authentication details through our provider, Supabase.
- Purchase data. Payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles your billing details; we receive a customer record, your license status, and transaction identifiers — never your full card number.
- License and device data. To enforce your two-device limit we store a hashed device identifier, platform, and app version for each activated device.
- Diagnostics. The desktop app may send anonymised crash reports (via Sentry) to help us fix bugs. These do not include your recordings.
What we do not collect
OneTake does not upload, store, or have access to your recordings. Video is captured and processed entirely on your own machine. We have no ability to view your content.
How we use data
We use your data to operate your account, deliver and update the app, enforce license terms, provide support, and improve reliability. We do not sell your personal data.
Third parties
We share data only with the processors that make the product work: Supabase (authentication and database), Paddle (payments and tax), Amazon Web Services (release file delivery), and Sentry (crash diagnostics). Each processes data on our behalf under its own terms.
Data retention
We keep account and license data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time (see below); some records may be retained where required for tax or legal compliance.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us through the feedback page.
Cookies
The website uses only the cookies required for authentication and to remember your session. We do not use advertising cookies.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
